Current Interest Fields:• Relationships of structure/function of state-of-the-art novel materials, such as nano- and functional materials, magnetic and semiconductor multilayer thin film, electrical materials, porous inorganic materials, biomaterials; lithium battery cells for implantable applications, metal, ceramic and polymer matrix self-reinforced composites, coating, surface and interface microstructure characterization by TEM/SEM, X-ray, spectroscopy, mechanical behavior of materials, etc.

• Relationships of 3D reconstruction/function & dynamics of biological macromolecular membrane protein complex, or viral and bacterial assembly, including design of anti-cancer drugs, by TEM, cryo-EM, EM tomography, X-ray crystallography, multi-dimensional NMR Spectroscopy, etc, with high spatial resolution combining computer assisted image analysis, genetic, biochemical and molecular biological methods in Structural Biology, Biochemistry and Virus Assembly.
