Journal of The Electrochemical Society ISSN 0013-4651 (Print) | ISSN 1945-7111 (Online) | ecsdl.org/JES
The Journal of The Electrochemical Society is a peer-reviewed leader in the field of electrochemical and solid-state science and technology: batteries, fuel cells, and energy conversion; biotechnology; corrosion, passivation, and anodic films; nanotechnology; electrochemical and chemical deposition and etching; electrochemical synthesis and engineering; dielectric science and materials; physical and analytical electrochemistry; semiconductor devices and materials; fullerenes, nanotubes, and carbon nanostructures; and sensors and displays.
Articles are posted online as they become available for publication. This archival journal is available in a paper edition, published monthly following electronic publication. Articles are produced for ECS by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) and hosted on their Scitation platform. Sample articles from the Journal are available online for free download.
The Society also offers a year-end CD-ROM of the Journal, which is available with a subscription to the Journal or package including the Journal. All articles on the CD-ROM are searchable, readable, and printable on Adobe Acrobat's PDF format. Full-text and fielded searching is available, and full articles are threaded and bookmarked. The disc is fully functional on Apple MacIntosh, Windows, and Unix operating systems.
The Journal is abstracted and/or indexed in: Chemical Abstracts (CAS), ChemPort, Dialog, INSPEC, ISI Web of Science, ProQuest, Science Citation Index, SPIN Web (Searchable Physics Information Notices), and others.
Electrochemical and Solid-State Letters is the first and only rapid-publication electronic journal covering the field of electrochemical and solid-state science and technology: batteries, fuel cells, and energy conversion; biotechnology; corrosion, passivation, and anodic films; nanotechnology; electrochemical and chemical deposition and etching; electrochemical synthesis and engineering; dielectric science and materials; physical and analytical electrochemistry; semiconductor devices and materials; fullerenes, nanotubes, and carbon nanostructures; and sensors and displays.

ECS Transactions is the newest publication of The Electrochemical Society. This online database of technical papers is a high-quality venue for authors and another excellent resource for researchers. ECST includes full-text content of proceedings from ECS meetings and ECS-sponsored meetings. The papers appearing in ECST are reviewed to ensure that submissions meet generally-accepted scientific standards. Papers may be purchased individually; or users may purchase an entire collection of papers as an issue of ECS Transactions (ECST). All issues are available online, and selected issues are also available in hard-cover editions. Online articles and issues are available in PDF format. Buyers should note that the book editions do not automatically come with access to the online version, nor do the book editions automatically come with online access.
Interface is ECS’s quarterly news magazine. It provides a forum for the lively exchange of ideas and news among members of ECS and the international scientific community at large. Published online (with free access to all) and in paper, issues highlight special features on the state of electrochemical and solid-state science and technology.
Meeting Abstracts are published twice a year, online and in a CD-ROM edition. This publication contains extended abstracts of the technical papers presented at the spring and fall meetings of ECS. ECS also publishes Meeting Abstract volumes for satellite meetings. Online abstracts, beginning with the 2005 volumes are available for free download at the above URL.
2010 and 2011 Subscription Rates and Ordering Information
ECS has put in place two rate structures beginning in 2010 – one for academic institutions or government funded labs, and the other for corporate organizations – both are tiered structures. Note that all pricing is based on a single site.
