The mission of the High Temperature Materials Division (HTM) is to stimulate education, research, publication, and exchange of information related to the science and technology of high temperature materials, including ceramics, metals, alloys, and composites. Members represent all major science and engineering disciplines; but have common interests in the synthesis, properties, behavior, and characterization of high temperature materials. The mission of the Division is pursued most actively by sponsoring international symposia on topics such as: materials chemistry at high temperatures, chemical vapor deposition, diamond materials, lamp chemistry, interface behavior and properties at high temperatures, fundamental aspects of high temperature corrosion, solid oxide fuel cells, solid electrolyte sensors, and ionic and mixed conducting ceramics.
