Industrial Electrochemistry and
Electrochemical Engineering Division
established April 8, 1943
The purpose of the Industrial Electrochemistry and Electrochemical Engineering Division (IE&EE) is to encourage activities aimed at increasing the knowledge required to support both improvements in existing electrolytic processes and the establishment of new electrochemical technology. In this regard, the Division will promote the dissemination of information related to the application of electrochemical engineering principles to such processes. At this time, emphasis is placed on technologies designed to conserve energy and to address environmental issues relevant to the electrolytic industries.
