The Luminescence and Display Materials Division (LDM) fosters and encourages communications, publication, research, and education in the science and technology of luminescent materials, which play a role in display and optoelectronic devices. The Division serves as a forum for researchers interested in the many physical and chemical processes, which lead to the emission of light in various materials and determine the ultimate applicability of these materials. All technical applications of luminescence and other linear and nonlinear matter and radiation interactions close out the range of interest of the Division.
