Short Courses
ECS sponsors day-long Short Courses in conjunction with the biannual Society meetings. Courses typically are conducted from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on the opening Sunday of the meeting. Short Course notes are available at the time of the course. The registration fees cover the course, luncheon, coffee breaks, and text materials.
Students are offered a 50% discount on Short Course registration.
The “XYZ … For the Rest of Us” talks help to educate ECS members and meeting attendees about areas outside of their immediate domain and to promote discussion and cross-Society interactions. The talks have an operating title of “XYZ … for the Rest of Us,” where “XYZ” changes with each talk. Talks are held on the Sunday evening of the Society’s biannual meetings, spring and fall.
Professional development workshops are offered by ECS at its biannual meetings. These workshops are free to all meeting registrants. Check the current ECS meeting for the days, times, and locations of these workshops.
