The 197th Meeting of The Electrochemical Society, Inc. will be held at the Sheraton Centre Toronto (123 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M5H 2M9). The Sheraton Centre is located in the very heart of the city's most vibrant shopping and entertainment districts and just steps away from the bustling business centers of Bay Street. Toronto's landmark City Hall is directly across the street and the best in live theatre is right in our neighborhood. The hotel is connected to the renowned underground city with six miles of shops and services. This hotel is ideally situated for trouble-free travel; within thirty minutes of Toronto International Airport and within ten minutes of City Centre Airport.

Hotel Reservation Information

Since the Sheraton Centre Toronto is the Headquarters Hotel, we have special reduced hotel rates for our attendees. Please note that May is a very busy month in Toronto and space is limited, so we encourage you to make your reservations early. The deadline for reservations is April 22, 2000. To obtain the special convention rates listed below, you must mention that you are planning to attend the 197th Meeting of The Electrochemical Society, Inc.

  1. Short-Course - Admittance to Sunday Short Course ONLY, not applicable to any other Meeting activities.
  2. One-Day Registration - Admittance to Technical Sessions and Meeting activities on specified day ONLY.
  3. Complimentary Registration - ECS Emeritus & Honorary Members ONLY.
  4. * Technical Registrations - Individuals (ECS Members & Nonmembers) interested in attending the Technical Sessions, including Authors of Papers and Technical Session Chairmen. Nonmembers may submit an Application for Admission within 4 months of the meeting for free.
  5. + Students - Full-time undergraduate or graduate students (Members & Nonmembers) registered for a degree in science or engineering. All students must send verification of student eligibility along with registration.
  6. Nontechnical Registrants - Admittance to a daily continental breakfast and other Meeting activities, except for Technical Sessions.
