DATE: September 20, 2003
TO:
San Antonio Symposium Organizers
FROM: Elizabeth Brennfleck, Director of Meetings and Exhibits
RE: San Antonio Meeting Technical Program Planning
As you
probably know, the deadline for the receipt of the San Antonio Meeting Abstracts
is January 2, 2004. The complete listings of all meeting abstracts
received to date have been posted on the Web Site at http://abstract.electrochem.org/products/205/organizers/
and will be updated every day. To access the page enter your username in lower
case letters (first initial and last name, e.g.. ebrennfleck) and password in
lower case letters (symposium code letter and number, e.g. a1). Please
note the username has no spaces or hyphens. For those who are
organizing more than one session, use the symposium code that comes first
alphabetically.
If you
receive any original copies of Meeting Abstracts, please check the special
Organizer’s Page listed above to see if the abstract has been received by ECS.
If the abstract does not appear on the list or in the author index,
please forward it to us immediately, so that it may be included in the final
listing of papers for your symposium schedule. The week of January 5, all
Symposium Organizers will be sent an email reminder that all the Meeting
Abstracts that have been received in the correct format for consideration in
your symposium, as well as the tentative room/date schedule for your symposium.
Please make sure that all abstracts that will be included in your symposium
schedule are in the database BY JANUARY 5.
Your
completed schedule will be due to ECS by January 16, 2004.
The program schedule will be final by January 20, 2004. No
further changes will be accepted to the program after this date.
We appreciate your assistance in adhering to the deadline dates outlined
in this letter so we can meet the Interface publication deadline for the printed
program.
For
those of you planning proceedings volumes, to be available at the meeting,
please remember that the volume materials are due to the Publications office no
later than February 1, 2004.
Please
also remember that beginning with the San Antonio
meeting, proceedings volumes must have the no fewer than 30 papers. The
requirement that a volume also
contain no
less than 80% of all presentations (oral and poster) has not changed.
Please
contact Erin Goodwin or myself if you have any questions about the entire
process. Thank you in advance for
your assistance in making the 205th Meeting of the ECS a great
success.
