Physical and Analytical Electrochemistry Division Student Travel Grants
The Physical and Analytical Electrochemistry Division will support the travel of one or more students to each ECS meeting. Eligible students must be a graduate or upper level undergraduate student and must be scheduled to present a talk at a symposium sponsored by the PAED. The terms of reference of this award are:
The applicant for this award must be a graduate student or upper level undergraduate student;
Student must present an oral presentation in a symposium sponsored or co-sponsored by the PAED. Poster presentations are not eligible for support from the PAED;
Preference will be given to applicants who have not been awarded a Travel Grant from the PAED in the prior two years;
Only one individual from a research group can apply for a PAED Travel Award for each conference. Supervisors are expected to internally screen candidates from their own group, and submit only one student application per conference;
Students will be assessed according to their academic record (GPA), publication and professional service record, as well as the strength of the supporting letter from their supervisor;
A minimum of $250 per student per meeting will be awarded with a maximum of $2,000 per meeting;
Students must submit the ECS Student Travel Grant application form, a two-page resume, a supporting letter from their research supervisor, and a copy of their extended abstract;
Applications for Travel Grants must be received by the PAED by the deadline data published in Interface and on the PAED Web page.
Note: travel grant applications are due the same day as abstracts for each ECS meeting.
