Hubert Gasteiger founded and leads the Chair of Technical Electrochemistry at the Technische Universität München (TUM). He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California Berkeley (1993), working with Elton Cairns, Phil Ross, and Nenad Marković.
