The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Board of Directors has appointed Professor Rohan Akolkar of Case Western Reserve University as inaugural Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of ECS Advances (ECSA). ECSA is the only Gold Open Access journal in the Society’s publications portfolio that spans the full collection of topical interest areas (TIA) represented at ECS. Prof. Akolkar has been a member of the ECS Joint Journal Editorial Board following appointment by the ECS Publications Subcommittee as an Associate Editor for the Journal of The Electrochemical Society Electrochemical and Electroless Deposition TIA on September 1, 2019.

Join us in welcoming Prof. Akolkar to the ECS Publications leadership team by cooperating and collaborating with him as he implements a new vision for ECSA aiming to make a strong and lasting impact on the scholarly record.

The Electrochemical Society is proud to announce the premiere issue of ECS Advances, the Society’s first Gold Open Access journal spanning all ECS topical interest areas. This multidisciplinary forum of peer-reviewed, high-quality content covers all technical areas supported by the Society. ECS Advances publishes original full-length work, brief communication-style papers, perspectives, review articles, and special issues. The new journal leads and promotes scholarly communication and interaction among scientists, engineers, and technologists pursuing research in electrochemistry, solid state science, and related technologies. The Electrochemical Society is excited to announce the addition of two new gold open access journals to its family of high-quality publications! 

ECS Sensors Plus

ECS Sensors Plus is a multidisciplinary, open-access journal that provides an international platform to publish high-quality impactful articles, and promote scholarly communication and interactions among scientists, engineers, and technologists whose primary interests are focused on mechanisms, materials, structures, properties, performance, and characterization of sensing and detection devices and systems, including sensor arrays, networks, and actuators. The goal of ECS Sensors Plus, as a one-stop shop journal for sensors, is to advance the fundamental science and understanding of sensors and detection technologies for efficient monitoring and control of industrial processes and the environment, and improving quality of life and human health.
