Focus Issue on:

Electrocatalysis — In Honor of Radoslav Adzic

Submission Deadline | August 1, 2018

Radoslav Adzic, senior scientist emeritus at the Brookhaven National Laboratory

Radoslav Adzic, a senior scientist emeritus at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, has made numerous important contributions to the community of electrocatalysis since the 1960s. This focus issue of the Journal of The Electrochemical Society is organized to celebrate Dr. Adzic’s great achievements. Contributions are solicited for all aspects of electrocatalysis. The following areas are of particular interest:

  • Oxygen reduction and evolution reactions
  • Hydrogen oxidation and evolution reactions
  • Small organic molecule (methanol, ethanol, etc.) oxidation reactions
  • NH3 oxidation and N2 reduction reactions
  • CO2 reduction reaction
  • Rational design, characterization, and evaluation of electrocatalysts
  • Single crystal preparation and characterization
  • Electrochemical deposition and underpotential deposition
  • Electrochemical spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman, XAS, etc.)
  • Electrochemical STM
  • Adsorption behaviors of ions
  • Stability and durability of electrocatalysts
  • Fuel cell and electrolyzer applications
  • Photoelectrocatalysis
  • Theoretical modeling and simulation

Critical reviews and perspective articles on important and emerging aspects of electrocatalysis will also be considered.

All papers published in this focus issue will be
OPEN ACCESS at NO COST to the authors! *
