Student chapters at Brown University (Providence, Rhode Island) and Khalifa University (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) were chartered at the October 17 ECS Board of Directors Meeting.
With these new additions, the Society now hosts 163 chapters in Asia; China; Europe; India; the Middle East; North and South Africa; North and South America; and Scandinavia! Chapter membership provides many benefits, including:
- Engage with students and peers;
- Organize technical meeting programs and scholarly activities;
- Collaborate with members to present posters at ECS biannual meetings;
- Network with 8,000+ international ECS members;
- Access career resources;
- Add impressive extracurricular activities to resumes;
- Partner with local ECS sections on activities and technical programs;
- Receive recognition on the ECS website and in ECS’s quarterly Interface publication.
ECS assists its Student Chapters with funding for activities.
