Join us on Tuesday, October 27, from 1800–2000h, for an evening of international poetry at ECS’s historic 250th Meeting in Calgary, Canada, October 25–29, 2026.

“It Could be Verse” is back! The evening of international poetry and performance debuted at the 244th ECS Meeting in Gothenburg, Sweden, to great acclaim. Join us for this fun, informal, amateur event at the 247th ECS Meeting this spring in Montréal, Canada.

The session showcases ECS members’ and attendees’ wide variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Participants are invited to recite or read a poem, sing, play music or simply listen. We highly encourage participants without prior experience in poetry reading or recitation to join us. (more…)
