Symposium Organizers’ Corner January 2026

Thanks for your commitment of time, energy, and expertise to ECS Meetings. As a Symposium Organizer, here are some important dates for your 2026 ECS Meeting planning.

249th ECS Meeting
Seattle, WA, US
May 24–28, 2026

  • Scheduling begins Friday, January 9, 2026. Keep an eye out for a Scheduling Instructions email with detailed directions on how to create your meeting schedule.
  • Meeting schedules are due Monday, January 19, 2026.

250th ECS Meeting
Calgary, Canada
October 25–29, 2026

  • Encourage your invited speakers, colleagues, and students to submit abstracts by March 27, 2026.
  • You have already received an email with a link to view submissions. Do so regularly and be aware of invited speakers who have not yet submitted, how many submissions the symposium has received, etc.
  • Scheduling takes place April 17–27, 2026.

Raise your hand if you’d like to be a session chair. Chairing a session is a great way to step into an ECS volunteer role, get to know fellow attendees, and further hone your public speaking skills. Students, early career professionals, industry professionals, and past presidents are all welcome!
