Things to Know

Your digital meeting experience

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 17th International Symposium on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC-XVII) is now an exclusively online event.

The best way to prepare for the meeting? Plan in advance! Check the meeting homepage regularly for news and updated events and information.

Online program

Once published, add the online program to the home screen of your smartphone or bookmark it in the internet browser on any of your devices. View, add, and sync presentations, sessions, and events to create your own custom itinerary.

During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to communicate with the presenters through the individual presentation pages in the online program. Make sure to come up with some questions and/or feedback for the talks you view, just as you would for an in-person meeting.

You will also be able to communicate with non-presenting authors and general attendees through the online program, so utilize this opportunity to make some new connections!

If you need a letter of attendance for presenting at the meeting, email to request one.

All meeting participants, including invited speakers, are required to pay the appropriate registration fees. All registrations include a copy of ECS Transactions (ECST). See the registration page for details.

Publish your paper

All authors are invited to submit their full text paper for publication in ECS Transactions (ECST), The Electrochemical Society’s proceedings publication. See the ECST home page for further information. In addition, a forthcoming focus issue on “Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) and Electrolysis Cells (SOECs)” will be published in The Journal of the Electrochemical Society (JES). Visit the focus issues homepage for more details.

SOFC reserves the right to electronically record any and all meeting related events. By registering for and/or attending/participating in an SOFC meeting, you grant ECS permission to use recordings or photographs taken of you at meeting events and/or the meeting venue.

Speaker indemnification

The ideas and opinions expressed in the technical sessions, conferences, and handout materials are those of the presenter, not SOFC. Nor can any endorsement by SOFC be claimed.

Photography and recording are not permitted during technical sessions

By attending/participating in the SOFC meeting, you agree not to record any technical session activity without SOFC’s express written consent. Violation of this policy results in removal from the meeting and registration revocation without the possibility of a refund.
