Instructions to follow for prize consideration
Thank you for participating in the Z01 General Student Poster Session. Top posters are recognized through General Student Poster Session Awards. First, second, and third place cash awards and recognition are proffered.
To be considered for the General Student Poster Session Awards, you must follow these instructions:
Upload your one-page digital poster file by September 16, 2022. This is a firm deadline. No late digital uploads are considered.
- Please do the following to upload your files:
- Go to https://ecs.confex.com/ecs/242/gateway.cgi.
- Find your abstract in the My Meeting Roles module under the Presenting Author header.
- Click the “Upload Files” link to access the presentation upload functionality.
- Notes:
- Follow the Digital Presentation Information available at: https://www.electrochem.org/digital-presentation-info
- You may also choose to upload a video file; however, only in-person attendees receive poster awards.
- Use your ECS login/password to access the meeting submission sites. If you do not currently have an ECS account (or do not remember your login information), you will be able to take care of this through the gateway link above.
Complete the Z01 General Student Poster Information Sheet and return it to ECS Customer Service before 1200h on October 11, 2022.
- You must print the form and complete it. ECS does not provide printed copies.
Hang your poster on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, during the Poster Setup Period from 1400-1700h.

Present your poster during the General Student Poster Session from 1800-2000h on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
NOTE: Judges review the digital poster uploads before the 242nd ECS Meeting and select the top 10 posters. The judges then interview the top 10 contestants during the General Student Poster Session on Tuesday, October 12, 2022, from 1800-2000h. To be considered for the award, you must be present, in-person, at your designated poster location with your poster displayed.
The top three award prizes are:
- First Place – $1,500 cash award
- Second Place – $1,000 cash award
- Third Place – $500 cash award
Prize recipients all receive certificates and recognition in ECS News and meeting highlights publications.
