ECS Purdue University Student Chapter is 2022 ECS Outstanding Student Chapter

ECS University of Waterloo Student Chapter is 2022 Chapter of Excellence

The Society established the Outstanding Student Chapter Award in 2012 to recognize distinguished ECS Student Chapters that demonstrate active participation in the Society’s technical activities; establish community and outreach activities in the areas of electrochemical and solid state science and engineering education; and create and maintain a robust membership base.

2022 ECS Outstanding Student Chapter

The ECS Purdue University Student Chapter, founded in May 2019, won the 2022 Outstanding Student Chapter for its dedication and commitment to the advancement of electrochemical and solid state science and engineering education.

In the past year, the chapter’s webinar series promoted discussion and collaboration between electrochemistry and solid state science students at Purdue and in the Greater Midwest. A recent topic was Modeling, Characterization & Analytics of Electrochemical Energy Systems (#MoChA). The chapter maintains a website and active Twitter and LinkedIn profiles where it lists activities and members in order to engage with the larger electrochemistry community.

As the 2022 ECS Outstanding Student Chapter, the ECS Purdue University Student Chapter receives an additional $1,000 in funding; a recognition plaque; and acknowledgement in the Interface fall issue.

2022 ECS Chapter of Excellence

The 2022 Chapter of Excellence winner is the ECS University of Waterloo Student Chapter, founded in October 2019. This year the chapter maintained an active membership, hosted a virtual workshop series on electrochemistry techniques, and engaged with the larger electrochemistry community via its website and social media profiles on Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. In recognition of its achievements and continuing commitment to ECS’ mission, the ECS University of Waterloo Student Chapter receives a certificate of recognition and highlight in the fall issue of Interface.
