Things to know about an ECS meeting

Registration fee

Access to all technical presentations will be freely available to the entire global community, greatly expanding the potential audience who can see, hear, and experience the meeting’s outstanding content. Attendee registration is free! However, pre-registration is required to participate.

To help support this free, global access, presenters are required to pay a modest registration fee, greatly reduced from the traditional onsite registration rates that presenters would have been required to pay. See the registration page for details.

Financial assistance

Many ECS divisions are providing financial assistance in the form of presenters’ fees and memberships for students, postdoctoral researchers, and young professionals as travel grants do not apply to digital meetings. Applications, available online, must be received by February 22, 2021. Additional financial assistance is limited. To determine if funding is available, contact the organizers of the symposium where you are presenting a paper. Email travelgrant@electrochem.org regarding travel grant questions.

Publish your paper

ECS Transactions (ECST) is the official conference proceedings publication of The Electrochemical Society. This publication features full-text content of proceedings from ECS meetings and ECS-sponsored meetings. ECST is a high-quality venue for authors and an excellent resource for researchers. The full papers and posters appearing in ECST are reviewed to ensure that submissions meet generally-accepted scientific standards. All authors of accepted ECST papers are encouraged to submit their papers to the Society’s technical journals. Please visit the ECST website for additional information, including overall guidelines, deadlines, instructions, a manuscript template, and more.

Permissions granted to ECS

ECS reserves the right to electronically record any and all meeting related events. By registering for and/or attending/participating in an ECS meeting, you grant ECS permission to use recordings or photographs taken of you at meeting events and/or the meeting venue.

Speaker indemnification

The ideas and opinions expressed in the technical sessions, conferences, and handout materials are those of the presenter, not ECS. Nor can any endorsement by ECS be claimed.

Photography and recording are not permitted in technical sessions

By attending/participating in the ECS meeting, you agree not to record any technical session activity without ECS’s express written consent. Violation of this policy results in removal from the meeting and registration revocation without the possibility of a refund.
