Registration Info

This year, for the first time in its 33 year history, PRiME will be held entirely online!

In lieu of in-person talks, presenters have submitted digital presentation files (video, slides, and/or a poster) that may be viewed on-demand in the online program from October 4 – November 9. Of the 3,300+ active abstracts in PRiME 2020, over 73% of them have digital presentations available.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the presenters via a Question and Answer/Comment field on every presentation webpage. Attendees and presenters are also able to communicate with each other via a built in peer to peer messaging tool available through the online program. As an added networking component, there will be 75 live symposia sessions held between October 4-9, where presenters, attendees, and organizers can gather to discuss the latest research in their respective topics.

In addition to our robust on-demand technical program, we are planning to livestream special events, daily at 2000h EDT / 0900h +1 JST&KST, from October 4-9, 2020.

If you experience any difficulty in either registering for the meeting or uploading your presentation, please contact meetings@electrochem.org.

Attendee Information

Access to all technical presentations will be freely available to the entire global community, greatly expanding the potential audience who can see, hear, and experience the meeting’s outstanding content. Attendee registration is free! However, pre-registration is required to participate.

Presenter Information

The deadline to submit digital presentations was September 28, 2020. If you have questions regarding your presentation, please contact abstracts@electrochem.org.

To help support this free, global access, presenters are required to pay a modest registration fee, greatly reduced from the traditional PRiME registration rates that presenters would have been required to pay.

 Member * $275
 Nonmember $385
 Student Member * $100
 Student Nonmember $130

*These prices are available to members of ECS, ECSJ, and KECS, as well as members of JSAP, CSE, KPS, SPSJ, KPVS, KICHE, and ECSTw.

These prices are significantly reduced (between 56-70 percent) from the previous PRiME 2020 regular registration fees, and will not increase as the meeting gets closer. All presenters are required to pay the fee prior to uploading their digital presentation files. Presenting authors who are giving more than one talk are only required to pay this fee once.

For the digital presentations, the speaker will be able to:

  • Upload a video of their presentation and/or a PDF of their slides or poster
  • Answer questions about their presentation through a Q&A interface on their presentation page
  • Enjoy free, global distribution for these files through the PRiME 2020 online program and the ECS Digital Library

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds for the presentation fee once the submitter approves their presentation files for publication.

Travel Grants

Opportunities for funding to cover presenter fees are available for the digital PRiME event.

The deadline for division-sponsored Student and Young Professional/Early Career Travel Grants has been extended to August 17, 2020. All applicants for division-sponsored travel grants will be notified of their status prior to the early registration deadline.

Certain symposia have raised funds to support presenters. Please contact your symposium’s lead organizer directly regarding available funding. Find contact information for each symposium in the Call for Papers.
