ECS Digital Library: The ECS Digital Library (DL) provides searchable online access to the various journals, books, and other collections published by The Electrochemical Society. Members create their own usernames and passwords for the DL during the process of registering for online access to the DL restricted content. Members will be prompted for their login information when they choose to download full text articles from JES, ESL, and ECST. For more information about online access to ECS publications, including assistance, click here.

Note: The DL is hosted on the American Institute of Physics's Scitation platform, therefore some users of the DL may have existing Scitation or Scitation's DocumentStore accounts that allow them to take advantage of the many features of this platform. For more information, click here.

Manuscript Submissions

ECS Meeting Abstracts: The Meeting Abstracts Peer X-Press (PXP) site is used by both authors and symposium organizers. Authors must create new accounts for each ECS meeting when submitting abstracts regardless of whether they have submitted abstracts to a past ECS meeting. Authors create their own usernames and passwords in this system. The symposium organizers are assigned usernames and passwords by the ECS Meetings and Program Coordinator. The Meeting Abstracts PXP site is not linked to the PXP sites for the Journal or Letters and the logins are not necessarily the same on these sites. The Meeting Abstracts PXP site may be linked to ECS Transactions PXP site and in some cases the logins are the same on these sites. ECS Transactions: The ECS Transactions (ECST) Peer X-Press (PXP) sites are used by authors, issue editors, and reviewers. To access an ECST PXP site for one of the Society biannual meetings, users must enter the exact same username and password that was created for the related ECS Meeting Abstracts PXP site (see above). To access an ECST PXP site for a non-ECS meeting or an ECS co-sponsored meeting users must create their own logins for that specific meeting. The ECST logins are not carried over from one meeting or PXP site to another. The ECST PXP site is not linked to the PXP sites for the Journal or Letters and the logins are not necessarily the same on these sites. ECS Journal and Letters: The Peer X-Press (PXP) sites for the Journal of The Electrochemical Society and Electrochemical and Solid-State Letters are used by authors, editors, and reviewers. To access these sites, users would either have an account created for them or would have to create their own accounts. The username will usually be the user's e-mail address, but not always. Users create their own passwords as part of the registration process. It is only necessary to create an account in one or the other journal. Once an account is created, the same username and password will apply to both the Journal and Letters. The Journal and Letters PXP sites are not linked to the PXP sites for Meeting Abstracts or ECS Transactions and the logins are not necessarily the same on these sites. Membership

ECS Membership Renewal: ECS members may pay their dues online for membership renewal. From almost every page on the ECS website members may click the Renew Now link in the left navigation pane and then the Renew Membership link again in the left navigation pane. Another way to access the page for membership renewal is to click the ECS MEMBERS link that is across the top of each page and then click the ECS Members online dues renewal link from the bullet list under Members-Only Services. Next, click the Renew Membership link in the left navigation pane. The username for ECS members is the e-mail address on record, and the default password is their last name (all lower case). However, members are allowed to change their password. If an e-mail address is not recognized or a password is forgotten, contact ECS Customer Service for assistance.

To access the information, click the ECS MEMBERS link that is across the top of each page and then click the Update your ECS membership information link from the bullet list under Members-Only Services. Next, click the My Information link in the left navigation pane. The username for ECS members is the e-mail address on record, and the default password is their last name (all lower case). However, members are allowed to change their password. If an e-mail address is not recognized or a password is forgotten, contact ECS Customer Service for assistance.

Online Shopping

ECS Meetings/Events Registration: ECS members and nonmembers may register for ECS Meetings and Events online during the event registration period. When the option exists there will be an Online Registration Now Open link on the ECS homepage under the heading "Next Meeting." Nonmembers who have never registered will need to complete the New Visitor Registration before making a purchase on this site. The username for ECS members and registered users is their e-mail address on record; the default password for members is their last name (all lower case). However, members are allowed to change their password; nonmembers must create their own password. ECS Job Bank: ECS provides information about open positions and allows members to post resumes through the The ECS Career Center. There is a link to the Career Center in the left navigation pane of most pages on the ECS website. Members are required to login to access the Job Bank. The username for ECS members is their 6-digit member number and their last name (all lower case) is their password. Please note that members may not change their login information for this ECS member benefit. Contact ECS Customer Service if assistance is needed.
