Colin Garfield Fink Summer Fellowship

Are you a current postdoc?

Are you an ECS member in good standing?

If you answered yes to these questions, you may be eligible to receive the Colin Garfield Fink Summer Fellowship of $5,000 USD to assist you with your research from June through August.

The deadline for applications is January 15.

Candidate qualifications

The award shall be made without regard to sex, citizenship, race or financial need. It shall be made to a postdoctoral scientist or engineer who is a current member of ECS. Current members of the ECS Education Committee and its subcommittees or ECS Board of Directors are not eligible.

Qualifications shall not be waived in case no candidate qualifies for the award within any one calendar year; instead, the funds normally allotted shall then be added to the investment capital for the awards. It is intended that the recipient should feel he or she uniquely hold an ECS Summer Fellowship during the period of his or her fellowship; to this end, he or she is required to not hold other named fellowships.

Requirements

A brief resume or abstract of 100-150 words concerning work performed shall be submitted to the Society by the recipient at the end of the award period, suitable for publication in The Electrochemical Society Interface. Acknowledgment shall be made of the Colin Garfield Fink Summer Fellowship Award in any formal publication based on research to which this award period contributed.
